Passing Pattern: Veteran's Star

Veteran's Star

For 5 passers and 15 clubs

5 people equally distant around a circle, each passing 3-count in sweep feed.

How to Do It

Each passer starts with a right-hand pass to the second passer on the right (and receives from the second passer on the left). The next pass is left-handed to the 3rd passer on the right, etc., until doing a 'wide' cross-body right-hand pass to the passer on your left. The sequence then reverses until you are dong a 'wide' cross-body left-hand pass to the passer on your right, and then the next pass will be the first pass. Repeats in six passes (18 beats).

Other Comments

This pattern could be started elsewhere, but it wouldn't be the Veteran's Star. This pattern requires long cross body/cross-pattern throws at the extremes. Starting with St1 would mean short wide throws at the extremes (like in outside triangles). First tried in Phoenix, Arizona, on Veteran's Day 2001(?) by Dave&Athena Davis, Ron Harvey, Will Murray, ... ?
